What we offer

Throughout the summer holidays, we organize city day-camps with the LEGO Education program. In the summer of 2023, you can look forward to our camps in Kiddům education center in Prague 3 (a short walk from Jiřího z Poděbrad or Flora metro), in Dolní Břežany, in Jižní mesto (Prague 4), in Zličín at MC Studánka, in Hostivice at RC ZaHRÁTka

Our city day-camps are a great opportunity to enrich children's summer holidays with a meaningful program combining LEGO Education learning with other activities so that children have fun and learn something new at the same time. The children spend the whole morning with a program prepared according to the age group and the theme of the week, and the afternoon after lunch with outdoor activities. One afternoon we will go on a mini-trip within Prague, the exact place always depends on the topic of the given week.

City day-camps are suitable for children from 4 to 14 years old.

Description according to ages:

Junior: 4-6 years

Preschool children have two 45-minute LEGO Education lessons during the morning. During these lessons, they discover basic mechanisms and gears with the First Mechanisms kit (DUPLO-sized bricks) with bricks similar to LEGO technic kits). The goal of the program is to teach children to independently build a model according to a plan in cooperation with a friend, thereby training children's spatial imagination and fine motor skills.

We guide the children to cooperation, so we always try to work in pairs

WeDo - the first robot: 6-8 years

Children aged 6-8 years (1st-2nd grade of elementary school) build and program models from the WeDo kit - the first robot. Two LEGO Education lessons take place every morning, during which they build a LEGO model, which they then connect to a tablet, program and get it to move. With a very simple visual program, children get to know basic knowledge in the field of programming. Despite the fact that children build robotic models according to instructions, we also try to give children space for the development of creativity and imagination when creating their own LEGO models.

Mindstorms robotics: 9 - 14 years

The oldest group of children (9+) use the Mindstorms EV3 kit during LEGO Education lessons, which can already be used to build more sophisticated robots with more sensors. Every day, children build 1-2 robots (depending on difficulty), with which they then perform various programming tasks. During programming, children thus train their logical thinking. During the city day-camp, more advanced children can also use the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime kit, which is more focused on developing programming skills.

08:00 – 09:00 Arrival / free play

09:00 – 10:30 LEGO Education program

10:30 – 10:45 Snack

10:45 - 12:15 Lego Education program (continuation of the project)

12:30 - 1:00 PM Lunch

13:00 - 15:00 Outdoor activities (excursion)

15:00 – 16:00 Creative creation / completion of projects from the morning

16:00 - 17:00 Children are picked up by parents

* this program of the day is only indicative - it may vary depending on the age group, the weather, etc...

Price of suburban camp: CZK 5,890/week. The stated price includes VAT, includes all-day meals (lunch, morning and afternoon snacks), all-day drinking regime, LEGO Education program led by a trained lecturer, excursion*.

* depending on the theme and program of the given week, but we always try to have the children visit an interesting place that fits the theme at least one afternoon a week.
